The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE), an entrepreneurship development social enterprise in Ghana with presence in over 14 African Countries has partnered with Ekow Mensah Consulting (EMC), a business consulting and coaching firm passionate about supporting startups and SMEs in Ghana to hold the Startup 101 Workshop Series.
The first of the several workshops to be held throughout the year is titled ‘What you need to start your business’. It covers topics such as Validating your idea, Researching, Designing a business model, Finding the right team and Finding the right customer.
Seasoned Facilitators for this workshop are the Managing Consultant for EMC, Ekow Mensah and Startup Consultant, Kate Essien. Scheduled for Wednesday the 15th of May, 2019 at the Roman Ridge Arcade, the workshop will run from 1pm to 3pm and will be broadcasted live on facebook and youtube.
The need for a workshop such as this can not be over emphasized especially in this era where entrepreneurship is being paid attention to by most governments in Africa as the solution to unemployment and Africa’s economic emancipation. By estimation, 90% of startups fail within the first 3 years of their existence due to several reasons, predominant of them being lack of adequate research and planning, lack of appropriate human capital and technical know how, lack of adequate capacity building and access to markets, lack of finance and so on.
The Startup 101 Workshops will present budding and startup entrepreneurs the resources to smoothly navigate the challenges of starting, sustaining and growing a business. Registration for this workshop can be done here www.tanoebusiness.com/startup101
