The month-long call for Entries for the maiden edition of the Ekow Mensah Fellowship Program ended on the 31st of May, 2019 with 91 applications from 6 African Countries. Receiving applications from countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Mauritius, Zambia, Kenya and South Africa indicates the continental wide endorsement of the Fellowship Program.

The Ekow Mensah Fellowship Program (EMFP) is an annual initiative as part of the Igniting Dreams Project to inspire & equip a generation of transformational entrepreneurial leaders in Africa. EMFP is a human capital development initiative aimed at investing in extraordinary African youth to adequately position them to succeed in life and in the pursuit of their dreams. It is the objective of the program to ensure EMFP fellows make significant contributions to the growth and transformation of their peers, communities, country and ultimately the continent of Africa.

The EMFP is a 13-weeks on and offline Capacity Building, Mentorship, Coaching, Support and Accountability program that targets 37 impact-driven young adults, between the ages of 18 to 30, passionate about developing entrepreneurship, leadership and essential life skills that will better position them to adequately address challenges faced in the pursuit of their dreams, in impacting lives and in transforming their society.

The Ekow Mensah Fellowship Program promises to be life changing, empowering 37 African youth to dream big, pursue their dreams, impact lives and ignite the dreams of many others around the African continent. The program is an initiative of Ekow Mensah, a foremost African Entrepreneurship Evangelist passionate about ensuring the empowerment and strategic positioning of African youth to enable them make significant contributions to the continent and the world at large. With his vision to inspire and equip a generation of transformational entrepreneurial leaders, he is committed to empowering and inspiring over 1 million youth in Africa.

The applications will go through a shortlisting process to select the 37 finalists that will make it into the 13-week fellowship program. Successful candidates at the end of the capacity building program will be awarded certificates and invited to become part of the prestigious EMFP Fellows with annual accountability sessions to access performance, review life plans and provide the necessary support to advance their pursuit and impact.

EMFP Fellows, otherwise known as ‘Torch Bearers’ will all receive an invitation to join the EMFP Alumni Network which will present them a lifetime opportunity to be part of a caring, challenging and empowering support system.

The Ekow Mensah Fellowship Program has come to stay and promises to live up to its promise and expectation of being a reliable resource and support system for passionate and committed youth determined to bring lasting change to Africa.
